The mayor agreed to talk with dog owners, and Councilmen Miller and Willis agreed to discuss the situation with dog warden Jack Bruce.

Progress is being made on defining town boundaries, Councilman Miller reported.
A survey is partially completed, and a new map will be available for review “shortly,” Mayor Kramer added.
The town zoning ordinance, Councilman Miller reported, “needs quite a bit of work.”
The councilman said a draft of the town zoning ordinance, which is undergoing revision, has been submitted by Planning District 9 and reviewed by town attorney Doug Baumgardner, who had reached the same conclusion.
“Dick McNear is most knowledgeable (about the town zoning ordinance). We should ask him to come to the next meeting,” Councilman Miller suggested.
Council agreed, and will ask Mr. McNear to attend its August 8 meeting.
Mayor Kramer discussed the need to better utilize Town Hall. He suggested its use as a meeting place, office and storage space for the town.
The mayor wanted to outline potential other uses for the facility and asked citizens in attendance for their input.

In other activity, council treasurer Brad Fisher reviewed the financial statement for fiscal ’83 (announcing a $400 surplus), and the status of sales tax and other tax monies allocated to the town by state and federal governments.
With sleeves still down, council closed by motioning to pay its bills.
