County Fair To Support

Red Cross Chapters

Plan now for an old-fashioned family day at the second annual Red Cross Country Fair at Oatlands Plantation on Route 15, six miles south of Leesburg on Sunday, July 29 from noon to 6 p.m.

While you play you will benefit the important work of the Loudoun County and D.C. Chapters of the American Red Cross as well as the preservation of Oatlands.

“Last year, over 4,000 people walked through the Fair’s gates with about $10,000 raised,” said Fair Chairman Major-General Calvert Benedict, USA-ret. “This year we expect to top those figures considerably.”

The Fair offers entertainment for all ages. Back by popular demand will be the tethered hot air balloon rides ($3.00 a ride). Weather and winds permitting, the balloons will be hoisting people aloft to get a bird’s eye view of Oatlands 261 rolling acres.
