To the editor
We must realize that we have voter influence over only three individuals in the Congress—two senators and one representative.
This year, one of our senators— John Warner—is up for reelection, and my seat in the House of Representatives is open.
One member of Congress cannot change the course of history. One member cannot balance the budget, reduce the tax burden, eliminate waste, insure a solid national defense, or do alone any of the other things we should like to see done in Washington.
