Always remember to wash a bathing suit after swimming each time. Whether you swim in the ocean, lake, or in a pool, salt, sand, chemicals, tanning lotions and perspiration are hard on the garment. When left in a bathing suit, they weaken the fibers and dull bright colors, prolong the life of swimwear by laundering according to label instructions. A sufficient amount of detergent is necessary to remove the residues. If laundering is impossible immediately after swimming, at least rinse out the bathing suit and thoroughly wash it later.

Sneakers: Frequent Washing a Must! Sneakers and running shoes are not just for sports anymore. Some people wear them as a fashion accessory all day long in work, school or play situations. Whatever way canvas shoes are worn, they should be washed frequently to prevent bacterial buildup. Only shoes with molded or valcanized soles can be machine washed.
