Terry Waggener and Vincent Day, professional guitarists, will entertain you with dinner music — a special treat for the evening! They perform regularly at the Skyland Restaurant on Skyline Drive.
Tickets may be purchased at Brambles Restaurant, the Rappahannock News office and the Middle Street Gallery — all located in Washington. The price for tickets will be $6 per adults and $3 per children. Anyone interested in donating to a truly worthy cause — a young girl’s treatment for leukemia — please buy your tickets now.
Mark your calendars now for “The Turkey Ridge Run” on Oct. 26 to benefit the Castleton Volunteer Fire Department. This successful annual event will start at 10 a.m. with a “bike race.” There will .be three divisions: three speed and under, four speed and over and riders with passengers. Ribbons will be given to the winners. Baseball-style caps will be given to participants in all events.
At 11 a.m., the run will begin. Both the male and female first place winners will receive a turkey! Yes, sir! Ribbons and baseball-style caps will also be presented to all winners.
Sign up early before the 26th, and the entry fee will be only $6 per person. Applications may be picked up at Brambles in Washington or from Philip Strange in Castleton. You may call Philip at 937-5858 for more information.
