And on a third front, a quick survey was made of potential donors with A-positive blood, Jessie’s type. A list was drawn up and a schedule worked out for volunteers to give blood when they visit the girl at Georgetown Hospital.
“Everyone has been so supportive and so helpful,” said Susan Turner, another organizer. “Now all we need is for people to attend the benefit dinner.”
The menu includes lasagne, both with and without meat, garlic French bread, salad, iced tea, coffee and cider. Dessert will be sold separately.
Advance tickets, at $6 for adults, $3 for children, will be on sale soon at Bramble’s Cafe, the Middle St. Gallery and Washington Video. Tickets will be $7 at the door.
