System. Extension is a three-way partnership of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and its extension service, state land-grant universities and county governments. The
\olunteers mentioned by the president, and the private sector donors who participate in the program, are often described as fourth partners by those officially a part of the nationwide 4-H system.
Jeff Dwyer has been a volunteer project leader for the Sperryville Community 4-H Club many times in the past two years. He has led projects
on bicycle safety and his “specialty” — wood-working. Although he was in 4-H only one year in school, he knows what a great experience it can be.
"I enjoy working with the kids and sharing what L’ve learned,” ,J*ff said. “I recommend volunteering jto my friends and any adult because they will get a lot of satisfaction from it, too.”
Rappahannock 4-H Achievement Night was held Tuesday to honor 4H’ers and volunteers for their contributions to the county’s 4-H programs.
