The committee also suggests that the county begin to “aggressively promote a regional approach to solid waste management” either through the current planning district or by creating a new regional authority.
It is also suggested as long-range planning to develop “appropriate signage” at all county solid waste units, enforce the laws pertaining to solid waste disposal and develop a “county-wide public information and education program...to advise and instruct the public” on solid waste management.
