The more than 630,000 teen and adult 4-H volunteer leaders are an essential component in the delivery of services to the nearly 4.5 million 4-H members nationwide. Volunteering is a major factor in making the 4-H program so cost-effective. The estimated value of 4-H volunteer services annually is about $1.1 billion.
