Furnishings are a happy mixture of antique to modem Oriental, including a locally made walnut comer cabinet and a 1680 Plymouth Colony chest in the dining room, a unique carved and painted marine scene by E.L. McRae (1928) in the living room and a set of lithographs by Martin Lewis in the guest house hall.
Other houses on tour are Greenwood Farm in Gid Brown Hollow and Meadow Grove south of Ben Venue.
Also open during the tour will be Ruby Jenkins’ Washington Museum, the Rappahannock Historical Society Building and the Rappahannock Library.

“David and the Giants,” a “contemporary Christian music group” will perform at Culpeper High School Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. to benefit the school’s Bible club and fellowship of Christian athletes.
Tickets to the show are $5 in advance, $6 at the door.
