A decision to grant a variance to expand the county library was postponed by the Washington Board of Zoning Appeals so it could gather more information.
Librarian Grace Sims presented drawings of a plan to build on to the rear of the library, an expansion that would place the back wall of the facility five feet from the rear property line. The town zoning ordinance requires buildings to be at least 15 feet from rear and side property lines.
Sims, who is also a member of a feasibility committee studying the proposed expansion, said that no piatte for the library’s lot, located at the comer of Calused a piatte for The Inn at Little Wash
