Seven of the nine children of the late James and Vinnie Howell were bom in Rappahannock County. Pictured (front row, left to right) are Lucy Ann Scearce and Bessie Horton, (back row) Myrtle Leake Hay and Leo Howell. They are currently living in the Richmond area, except Myrtle, who lives near Salt Lake City.
