And the dancers themselves boast the finest collection of bodies since the ancient Greeks carved and sculpted their heroic figures. Lithe, supple, muscular, athletic and graceful, Julie Coon, Laura Crowne, Hunt Harris, Nan Reddick and Sherre Waggener exemplify the perfection that the human form can attain.
RAAC’s Gay St. Theatre is the perfect setting for “Box 48,” allowing an intimacy with the dancers that would be impossible in a larger hall.
But Nash and her Last Minute Wood Company deserve an audience far larger than the 150 or so who can squeeze in the Washington theatre. “Box 48” would not look out of place on the Warner Theatre’s stage in Washington, D.C. Here, in Little Washington, it is wondrous.
“Box 48” will be performed again tomorrow at Gay St. Theatre at 8 p.m.
