Park to accept
job applications
Those interested in working for t he Shenandoah National Park Service next summer can submit an application beginning this week for a number of jobs.
The National Park Service is already planning its job force for the 1986 season.
The service suggests that anyone interested in working in the national park should file their application between Sept. 1 and Jan. 15,1986.
Jobs available include collecting fees at entrance stations, road and campground patrols and interpretation of area resources.
To qualify, a person must be at least 18 years old or a high school graduate, be in good physical condition and meet the educatinoal or work experience requirements of the position desired. Employees in the law enforcement duties must be at least 18 years old.
Applicants should contact either the personnel office at Shenandoah National Park at 999-2243 or the Seasonal Employment Unit.
The park also hires temporary laborers to augment its permanent work force. Applications for those positions should be postmarked no later than Jan. 15, 1986. Interested persons should contact the personnel office of the park at Rt. 4, Box 292, Luray, Va. 22835.
