Having completed nearly one third of the season, Wakefield’s varsity soccer team has once again survived formidable opponents to remain undefeated. By means of hard work and perserverance, the team has now raised its record to 5-0 with two recent victories over perennial rivals Seton School and Rappahannock High School.
In the match against Seton, Wakefield outlasted their opponents to raise Wakefield’s conference record to 2-0. A balanced scoring attack keyed the victory as eight different players each scored a goal en route to the 8-4 final score. Halfback Jordan Bentley, of Middleburg, and forwards Marc Foerstemann, of Huntly, and Jeff Rozic, of Front Royal, each turned in impressive
performances in the contest. The homecoming match against Rappahannock High School ended in a 3-1 victory for Wakefield.
