The supervisors rejected all the bids and agreed to readvertise a scaled-down version of the renovation project, holding the scope to $40,000, the amount included in the county’s 1985-86 budget.
The dollar limit meant portions of the plans drawn by Linden architect Warren MeNamee would not be executed. Eliminated were enclosure of the Stairwell and jury box and modifications to courtroom railings as well as courthouse access, court room access and bathrooms for the handicapped.
