Feature race of the day at Ben Venue will be the Old Dominion Hunt Cup owner-rider timber race. This 314-mile race has drawn a field ofnine including Dr. William Russell’s Marat, the current leader of the Seven Corners Owner Rider Timber Series. Marat, who won at Casanova, Warrenton and Piedmont, will likely have some close competition from Greg Bodoh’s Chatex, however. Last week at Middleburg Chatex was denied victory in the owner-rider timber race when he cut a flag. Mr. Bodoh is probably anxious to clear his and his horse's record with a win at Old Dominion.
