Homemakers, Gloria Durden, JoAnn Fox, Linda Beahm, Bonnie Brown and Ruth Ann Clark, and their instructor Miss Betty Blanton recently visited Sunset Haven Nursing Home near Culpeper and carried favors for the patients’ trays. These favors and the visit are part of the FHA project Developing and Understanding of the Aging and Handicapped Population.
Mrs. W. R. Williams announces the opening of Oak Forest Gardens and the introduction of The Herb Garden, an interesting and unusual plant and garden plan business which she will conduct from her home in Woodville.
A field and forest fire swept through Jenkins Hollow Thursday, burning over more acreage and doing more damage than had been done by fires ip Rappahannock in five years. Four fire companies with eight pieces of equipment responded to the alarm, thus preventing what might have been a catastrophe.

The Methodist Youth Fellowship of Amissville Methodist Church elected new officers at the March meeting held the 29th at the church. They are: Debbie Poe, president; Junior Pullen, vice-president; Vickie Settle, secretary; Connie Holmes, treasurer; David James, reporter; Julie Davis, program chairman, and A1 Harrup and Paul James, entertainment.
