Dr. William Barclay, British theologian - pastor, wrote some years ago that “the moment a person neglects his body, that moineni his spiritual life begins decline.”

Human beings arc minds, bodies, and souls. Neglect of either diminishes each. Wc often say that “a person is a body possessing a soul.” A truer statement is: “A person is a soul that possesses a body.”

My body is the only place my soul can live. The better care I take of my body, the better I provide for my soul because my body belongs to my soul.

A soul with a body we call LIFE. A soul without a body we call death. And in many cases, we determine which it shall be.

Paul nails it down for us in I Corinthians 6:19: “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit within you| which you have from God? You are not your own: you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your Body.”
