The first athletic awards
banquet for Rappahannock County School is scheduled for Saturday, April 15. The dinner will be served in the cafeteria of the elementary school.
The annual horse show of the Rappahannock 4-H Horse and Pony Club will be held May 13. Robert Bumeston of Casanova will be the judge.
The American Red Cross bloodmobile unit will visit Rappahannock County next Wednesday, April 12. It will be located at the Episcopal parish hall in Washington.
Beginning April 11 and 12, the rummage sale held in the bottom of the Washington post office building will be open from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday and Wednesday of the month.

Old Dominion Hunt's pointto-point
races will be run Saturday, April 9, at Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Eastham’s Ben Venue Farm, 16 miles west of Warrenton off Route 211. Post time for the first of nine well-filled races is 11 a.m., when 20 teams from local hunts will compete in the hunting pair race. Two junior flat races for ponies are next.
The Rappahannock County School Board adopted and forwarded to the county Board of Supervisors its public school budget for 1977-78. The proposed budget projects an increase of 8 percent above funds budgeted for the current year. More than 3 percent of the increase is devoted to costs related to the start .of a delayed kindergarten program.
