1 ninth graders who want to go to Piedmont but are not able to attend yet. Mr. Vickers stated, “The main reason I wanted them to build a shed was it was something that they could take pride in, to build self-esteem, and have them feel that they’ve accomplished something.”
He added, “The sale of these buildings will help pay for materials to do more things that we couldn’t do otherwise. For example, we need more cinderblocks and brick. Also, I hope the students can make an individual project out of wood to take home at the end of the year.”
The utility sheds can be used for storing garden and lawn tools. They are good for general storage or lawn tractor storage. (The door is wide enough for lawn tractors.) A ramp that can be put in front of the door comes with the sheds.
Transporting the building is left up to the purchaser. Lowboys were used last year. Mr. Vickers has information on the availability of one, if needed.
The sheds may be seen behind the Rappahannock County High School between 3:15 p.m. and 5 p.m. through April 15. Sealed bids must be submitted to the RCHS school office by April 15.
