Fire Department to hold auction

The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department will hold an auction on Saturday, May 3, at 10 a.m. at the fire hall. All donations will be greatly appreciated. For pickup service please contact Riverside Auto Service at 987-8264 or any member of the fire department. Tom Reese will be the auctioneer.

Business Council to meet

Dance series to begin

Library series continues

“Changing Voices, the Southern Literary Renaissance” book discussion series continues at the Library Monday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m. Dr. Ann Fisher, professor of English at the University of Virginia, will lecture on Eudora Welty’s The Golden Apples, and Tutt StappHarris and some of her students will do a dramatic reading from the stories. The series is sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities and is free and open to the public.
