Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier, Michele, Michael and Christopher were Easter luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Meade in Culpeper and were met there by Mr. and Mrs. Billy Meade and Miss Kelly Huffman. Mrs. Robert Van Nostrand of Alexandria visited the Fraziers Saturday.

In our church news, New Salem Baptist Church of our area held a candlelight service Friday evening in honor of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection. Traditional hymns, a short devotional message by the pastor Rev. Carder and lighting of candles made up the program.

Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church held their Easter sunrise service at 5:30 Sunday on the hill at Edmund Burke’s farm with about 80 in attendance.
