Prepares miscellaneous drawings and charts; researches and collects all pertinent data for design and development of highway plans; reviews data with supervisor to assure compliance with functional classification requirements; lays out alignment and grades; computes vertical curves; compiles quantities of material; submits computer estimate input to obtain project costs; computes and checks alignment to obtain lengths, bearings, and other complex computation. Checks work done by others; trains & instructs lowerlevel technicians; prepares IBM input forms; reviews and checks inspectors, records and compiles estimate quantities.
