You may not be here but your grandchildren will have to drink it. Also what we want is not to encourage the people who make these things, so why not become an organic gardener. And consider not spraying that fly in the kitchen where your kid is making a peanut butter sandwich.
Toxic stuff that you have to buy should be purchased in appropriately modest quantities so as not to have any left over that someone will want to throw away some day. As for that old can of DDT or whatever else you’ve got in the toolshed, just keep it dry and safe for now. There are not many affordable ways to responsibly deal with these things once they have been created, but the future will probably hold more options for you as more communities are holding toxic materials cleanup days.
