Sign-up for the 1989 Virginia Agriculture BMP Cost Share Program (Chesapeake Bay Program) will be held through Jan. 15, 1989 in County ASCS Offices. The Virginia Agriculture Cost Share Program is designed to improve water quality in state streams, rivers and the Chesapeake Bay. Cost share incentive programs are available to encourage farmers and landowners to apply needed v .. Best Management Practices (BMPs) to their land to better control sedi,• ment and nutrient losses into local streams.
Most of the practices available for cost share in 1988 will be offered . again this year.
