To the editor:

To our Thrift Shop supporters in Rappahannock County, I would like to thank the Town Council for letting us use the Town Hall as a Thrift Shop for these past years.

Thanks for the support from our people who gave items to our shop so we could sell to the local people at a fair price in return for money for our Fire and Rescue Departments. In our years at the Town Hall we have made over $15,000.

Thanks to all our good and satisfied customers who have shopped with us during the years.

When families were burned out of their homes and welfare recipients needed clothes or other items, we were always willing to help them.

This shop has really helped a lot of folks in more ways than one. I feel sure it will be missed, but as of now we are without a place to have a Thrift Shop. If anyone has a good place that we could use as a Thrift Shop, we would consider it — but we can’t afford to pay rent.
