An Open Letter to the Citizens of Rappahannock County:
For 17 years, under the expert guidance of Lynne Baines, the seventh grade has gone on a field trip to Williamsburg. This trip started out years ago as a two-day, one-night trip and has progressed to a four-day, threenight trip. It would be fair to say that a good percentage of the population of this county has gone on this trip, either as a student or as a chaperone.
Last year Mrs. Baines left Rappahannock County. She and her husband, Virginia State Trooper Rufus Baines relocated to the Tidewater, and the field trip was placed in my hands, hands, that I hope can do the job as well as Mrs. Baines.
