So individual improvement plans were developed for every member of the center’s instructional staff, with many entering a two-year program for a child development associate degree offered by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The program includes classroom “field work,” courses at Lord Fairfax or another nearby community college, and observation by a council representative.
