new fun game called making a compost pile. Use this for table scraps (if you are throwing that away), leaves, clippings, weeds, etc. Read an article on how to layer the pile correctly. Then teach a friend who lives in the city how to do it too (unless he or she lives in an upstairs apartment).
Think about buying things that last longer. That’s waste prevention. Cheap is not always great. Things of substance that you buy should be repairable, too. Who would have thought that small TVs and radio/recorders of all sizes were disposable items? (Ask how much they cost to repair.)
