The first and fifth grades will also receive prizes for their outstanding participation in the Read-athon.
Second grade teacher Floy Bunning said, “The students did extremely well with their reading.” She noted that most of the books read were not normal second grade books. “Some were 50 and 60 pages long,” she said.
