Hospice volunteer training

Hospice of the Rapidan will offer its spring volunteer training the evenings of Thursday, March 8 and Monday, March 12, and all day Saturday, March 10. Training will be held at the Hospice offices in Culpeper and pre-registration is necessary. Call (703) 825-4840 for more information.

Black History program

The 13th Annual Black American History Program will be held on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 3 p.m. at the Orange County High School in Orange. The theme Walking by Faith is sponsored by the Women’s Auxiliary of the Way land Blue Ridge Baptist Association Inc. Mrs. Gertrude Glasker and Ms. Lillian Aylor are chairman and co-chairman of this program. Tickets are $3 and children under 12 years of age $1 at the door.

Pianist at Woodberry Forest

Jeanne Stark, pianist, will perform in concert Sunday, February 25 at 3 p.m. at the Walker Art Center, Woodberry Forest School. Admission is free. Ms. Stark, bom in Belgium, now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area where she is currently teaching. Ms. Stark’s program includes “Toccata” by Anne Kish, violinist and composer who lives in Madison County and teaches strings at Woodberry Forest School. Ms. Stark will also perform works by Beethoven, Debussy and Absil. The public is invited to attend.

Quaker meeting

There is an hour of silent worship, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday at the Child Care and Learning Center.
