Editor Hatter said of the awards, “The small weekly category is extremely competitive, and seeing the work of our peers is a real complement to the excellence of community journalism in the Commonwealth. We are proud to be recognized by the VPA, but we realize that these awards are only an incentive to continue the tradition of excellence which the Rappahannock News has established.
