I know I will not have the last word on this subject, but I hope this can be my final response. ,
A reliable person told me Ray Gooch did not pay Virginia state income tax. He was given the opportunity if a problem existed to correct it himself. No coercion was intended.
I did not know for sure that he did not pay state income tax until he stated that he did not at a Town Council meeting. The Virginia Dept, of Taxation would not release this information.
Ray Gooch drives a car with Washington, D.C. tags with no Rappahannock County sticker. He pays the equivalent of Virginia state income tax to the District of Columbia and holds public office in Washington, Va. In my opinion this is wrong; and if it is not illegal it should be.
