The popular, three-term Congressman said he hasn’t studied a proposal by Sen. Robert Dole, RKansas, that would divert foreign aid funds from Israel to the blossoming democracies in Europe and Central America.
“It’s worth considering,” said Slaughter.
His nomination is anticipated at the May 12 Republican Seventh District Convention in Charlottesville. He then face the Democratic challenger in the November General Election.
