Following lunch they observdd the House of Delegates in session. The afternoon concluded with a reception for all 125 4-H Ambassadors who participated statewide.
The purpose of the 4-H Ambassador Day is to give older 4-H’ers an opportunity to learn about their state government and citizenship. It is also an opportunity for the 4-H’ers to visit their local representatives and tell them about the 4-H clubs in their home county.

The materials for this workshop are provided by the Fauquier County Public Library through an LSCA Title 1 grant awarded to the library in 1989.
Once trained, a volunteer is matched with an adult who wishes to learn or improve basic reading skills. To register call Alta Denlinger (3498142) or pick up a registration form at the front desk of the Fauquier County Public Library.
