The win Tuesday evening left Rappahannock with a 12-7 record overall, and a 9-6 record in the Bull Run District. The Panthers are holding onto third place in the district, despite their lackluster play in the season’s second half.
Central, meanwhile, wrapped up the district championship with another win Friday night against Manassas Park, leaving the Falcons soaring at a 16-2 record, and 13-1 in district play. Their only loss came against Rappahannock in their first meeting of the year.
The district tournament will be held at Warren County High School in Front Royal next week. The first round will be played on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 19 and 20. The semi. final round will be played Thursday, Feb. 22, followed by the district championship contest next Friday, Feb. 23.
