Many tolks are deceived about liie, thinking real me is in what they possess, such as houses, cars, jobs, etc! These things we need, but real life is knowing Christ as Saviour and putting Him first in our lives. Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."
Secondly, he found no peace outside the father's house. Luke 15:14 says, "He had spent all and there rose a mighty famine." Christian friend, you will have no peace when you leave the Father's house. Dear lost friend, you will have no peace until you come to know Christ as personal Saviour. "There is no peace, saith my God to the wicked." (Isaiah 57:21)
Thirdly, he found that the father loved him. "And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck and kissed him." (Lk. 15:20) That's just like our heavenly Father, His love is an everlasting love. (Jeremiah 31:3) He loves the unlovable. John 6:37 says, "And him that cometh to me, I will in no wise cast out.
Fourth, he found that he was a forgiving father. "And the son said unto him, "Farther, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. But the Father said to his servants. Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. (Lk. 15:21,22) When the son repented of sin, the father was willing to forgive him. That's why Jesus, God's Son, died on the cross and shed his blood, so we could have forgiveness of sin. "And without shedding of Mood is no remission of sin." (Hebrews 9:22)
The prodical son had a homecoming. "For this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry." (Lk. 15:24)
One day there is going to be a home going for every bom again believer. Have you prepared? If not, repent and believe the gospel. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved." (Acts 16:31)
Unsaved friend, my prayer is that you see yourself as the prodical son saw himself. Maybe you are saved and have strayed from the Lord. You had better repent and confess that sin before God has to whip you. "If we confess our sms, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all our unrighteousness.” (I John 1:9)
