Tony Rice returns

On Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24, Tony Rice returns to the Gay Street Theatre for two nights! A virtuoso guitarist, Rice’s style combines bluegrass, jazz and folk in both vocal and instrumental forms. Show times are at 8 p.m. both nights and tickets will be $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Talk on county records

County Clerk Diane Bruce will speak to the Rappahannock County Historical Society about county records as the foundation of the history of the county. She will talk about the various types of records available at the Clerk’s Office, as well as how to find your way around the office and how the records and files may be useful in various types of research. The meeting will be held Sunday, March 18 at 3 p.m. at the courthouse. The public is invited to attend this free meeting.

Murder mystery at RCHS

The RCHS Drama Club will present its spring production, “The Hollow,” on Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24. This Agatha Christie murder mystery is under the direction of Beth Briggs, and stars Susan Estes, Skip Giles and Liz Oliver. Curtain time for both performances is 8 p.m. Tickets are $3.50 and will be sold at the door.

Breakfast, Easter egg hunt

The Washington Volunteer Fire Department will hold an all-youcan-eat breakfast, 7 a. m.-noon, Saturday, April 7 at the fire hall. The buffet menu will include scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage and gravy, bacon, hash browns and fried apples, with juice, coffee and milk. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2.50 for children, available at the door or in advance from any fire department member. A free Easter egg hunt will begin at 11 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to age groups 3 and under, 4-6 and 7-10.

Aerobic dance classes

A six-week series of aerobic dance classes will begin on Tuesday, March 20. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. at Rappahannock County Elementary School. Class fee is $30. Call Rose Ann Sharp at 675-3887 evenings for further information. Beginners welcome.
