We were sad to learn the home in which Mr. James Phillips lived was burned last Wednesday, March 7. He is staying with his sister now. He says he appreciates community assistance. On Sunday he told me he escaped with only the clothes on his back. His pants size is 44 waist and 31 length. He is staying at the corner of Rt. 730 and Rt. 211, across from Lom-Bar-Dy Restaurant.
Mrs. Anna Fincham, Mrs. Elva Compton, Mrs. Thelma Button, Ms. Lottie Dearing and Mrs. Jack Rosenberger were luncheon guests last Thursday of Mrs. Burner Montjoy in Warrenton.
On Sunday, Mrs. Fincham and Mrs. Compton entertained Rev. and Mrs. Earl Jarell from Fredericksburg for lunch at the Country Cafe in Washington.
Dr. Billy Graham team will be holding a crusade at Culpeper High School 7:30 nightly March 18-2o. Dr. Graham’s associate Dr. John Wesley White the Upper Piedmont Crusade for Christ on Sunday, March 18. The eight-day Crusade will feature three Youth Nights.
