the dog’s leg could be saved. However, the injury from the shot proved to be so severe that the leg had to be amputated at the shoulder to save the animal.
The dog has been released from the animal hospital and was adopted by Tom and Debbie Jenkins. Mrs. Jenkins reported Tuesday that the dog is recovering from its injury, despite the amputation.
Mr. Lopez was released on a $750 personal recognizance bond signed by the owner of Blue Rock Farm, Jean M. Campagne of McLean. Mr. Lopez will appear in General District Court on March 20.
