To the editor:
Recently the Amissville Little League and Rappahannock Athletic Association merged to give all boys and girls, age 5 to 18, an opportunity to play baseball in Rappahannock County.
Residents in Jackson District are quite familiar with baseball and Stuart’s, Field. It was organized April 1976. The RAA was organized in 1979.
This youth activity has no county or state support; It has dedicated coaches and parents, who are intersted enough to provide this athletic and healthy passtime.
In the next few weeks residents will be receiving through the mail a letter explaining and requesting financial support. However, due to lack of funds, not everyone will receive this letter. Therefore, this is our effort to inform all of Rappahannock County.
