The Board of Supervisors got its first look at a $7.2 million draft budget for the 1992 fiscal year this week.
The proposed budget is down $66,500 from the current budget and will add nearly $188,000 to the county’s surplus if current tax rates are adopted.
Actually $40,000 of that surplus is earmarked for the Enhanced 911 emergency system, and the two dollar surcharge on telephone bills is expected to generate much more than $40,000 in the coming fiscal year.
On the expenditure side $400,000 is for general government administration, an increase of $9,800 over the current budget.
Of that, $5,400 is for an increase in compensation for members of the Board of Supervisors. This will bring their pay to $100 per
