To the Editor:
With much sadness and regret, I am writing to say goodbye. Although Rappahannock County has only been, my home for a little over two years, I consider it just that, my home.
There are few places left where the uniqueness of neighbors actually still being neighbors, and friends actually still being there when they are needed, are a reality.
Acting as the new county animal shelter manager for the past months has made this realization hit home. This is a great place, and I’m grateful to all the people who helped me realize that.
I thank everyone in the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League for their help and friendship.
