designed to exorcise any of our dis-harmony with its swirling flow of movement. Anthea has appeared in a variety of contexts - from Greek restaurants and Middle Eastern nightclubs to spirit arts celebrations, RAAC talent shows, birthday parties, and multi-cultural dance concerts.
Anthea will perform and speak about “The Roots of Dance” at the Town Hall in Washington, Va. at 7 p.m. May 17 as part of the Middle Street Gallery’s “Celebration of the Spirit,” one of the gallery’s “Spirituality and Art” exhibitions and events planned for May 1991.
She will also be teaching “Introduction to Oriental Dance” at the Middle Street Gallery, 7 p.m. Wednesdays during the month of May.
Along with teaching the movements of the dance, Ms. Poole will explore the dance’s place in women’s heritage.
