On May 11, from 9 to 6, the Ruritan Club will hold its spring festival. The event is free and includes numerous activities. Over 40 crafters will participate. Items include antique glassware, toy soldiers by Marquardt’s Miniatures, ceramics, gift baskets, decorated bears, jewelry, woodworking, needlepoint, dried andv silk flower decorated items, lac<?, painted sweat shirts, discovery toys, tupperware, pillows, stuffed animals, switch plates, quilts, hair bows, dolls, cross-stitch, photo prints, planters, benches, doll houses, bird houses, and much more.

A free health fair co-sponsored by Rappahannock Electric takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Special Salute-to-the-Troops ceremony at 2 p.m. will remember and honor all. veterans and active military personnel who served and fought to preserve freedom. We especially invite area Desert Storm troops who have returned to attend. " Other activities include petting zoo, live entertainment, baseball games, races, clowns, chicken BBQ dinner, potted plant sale, tree sale, drawings, Mother-of-the-Year and Ruritan-of-the-Year awards, and much more.
