Charles Martin

Charles H. Martin, 80, of Winchester, died Wednesday, April 17 at his home.

The funeral was conducted Saturday, April 20 at the Jones Funeral Home in Winchester by Dr. Ewart Wyle. Burial was in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery.

Mr. Martin was bom Feb. 10, 1911, in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Ashby and Bessie Horton Martin. He retired from O’Sullivan’s where he was manager

and owner of the cafeteria. He was a member of the First Christian Church on Merriman Lane. He was the husband of Mary V. Boyd Martin.

Surviving with his wife are a foster son, Meredith A. Boyd of Falls Church; two sisters, Mary Bessie Affleck and Essie McDaniel, both of Winchester; two brothers, John Martin of Frederick County and Robert Martin of Delaplane; four foster grandchildren; and six foster great-grandchildren.
