Bethany Craig, founder of the Spring Mountain School, began by outlining the basic theory behind Waldorf education and how it influences the education she and her staff provide students. Her goals to expand include a first and second grade and one grade each year after, she said.
The homeschooling option was creatively presented by Diane Wood, a homeschooling parent and Mothering Cooperative member.
As the daughter of a Wakefield kindergarten teacher, and previous elementary school teacher herself, she embarks on homeschooling well prepared with curriculum and educational materials, which she shared with the group.
