Efforts to rebuild home for couple
underway, fundraiser planned
Howard and Julie Coon, of Castleton, recently suffered the loss of many personal items and family heirlooms in addition to part of their home as a result of a fire. The Coons did not have insurance, but thanks to the help of many friends and neighbors in the county, have been able to put a new roof and partially rebuild their home. It has truly been a community effort and one that they have said is immensely appreciated. The effort to help the Coons is still underway and gathering momentum. This Friday a fundraiser will be held at Blue Moon Cafe beginning at 8 p.m. It is a chance to have fun, listen to great music and help a neighbor.
