Kelly Settle
Home: Sperryville Occupation: Secretary/Bookkeeper and Assistant to the Athletic Director, Rappahannock High School Accomplishments: Mrs. Settle has been working at the high school for 11 years. In addition to her full-time position, she is involved in a number of extra curricular activities. She has been active in the D.A.R.E; program to keep student off drugs, and is the key person for coordinating the after-prom party, athletics banquet, and golf tournament to raise funds for the RCHS athletic department. Mrs. Settle was the sponsor for Students Against Drunk Driving for six years, and the cheerleading squad for five years. Mrs. Settle is also a consultant for Longaberger Basket Company. In addition, she works part-time for the county E-911 Coordinator. Kelly and her husband, State Trooper Gary Settle, have been married 15 years.

Beauty pageant at
Chester Gap
The Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a beauty pageant on May 22 at 6 p.m. at the Flint Hill fire hall. Categories will include: Wee-Miss 2-4; Tiny Miss 5-8; Pre-Teen 9-12; Junior Miss 13-15 and Miss 16-21. Girls living within a 50 miles radius of Chester Gap may compete. Practice and final registration will be held Thursday, May 20 at 7 p.m. at the Flint Hill fire hall.
